Soft
In the spring
nature revives herself
with softness
while i’m writing a book
from a bright window seat
as the sun softly sets in the horizon,
the pitter-patter of a drizzly rain
the evening makes me jump
and dance upon the grass,
freshly cut sweet grass that smells
of a mixture of petrol and earth
from the lawn-mower,
A lawn that hosts an easter-egg hunt,
while an easter bunny rabbit,
hops with floppy white ears for good luck
under cherry tree blossoms lining the driveway,
blossoms that flutter and fly in
a gentle afternoon breeze
Uplifting my energies,
Like a cup of warm green tea
in a hand-crafted, glazed cup
Alongside gooey chocolate chip cookies
crumbling in my hand
melting in my mouth.
